NEAR APAC 2023 was an international tech conference and expo held in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme “A Future Without Limits”. The event brought together more than 100 international speakers, 50 investment funds and drew over 20,000 attendees — one of the largest tech & investment stages in the region that year.
There, Expand VN presented its “Kitchen as a Service” model — a central-kitchen solution paired with satellite kitchens running 24/7 across the city's districts. The model lets multiple F&B brands prep food at the central kitchen and finish it at satellite points; customers can buy in person or order through an app, cutting staffing, real-estate and operational costs.
At the event, CEO Nguyễn Chí Anh Khoa announced plans to expand to 23 branches and to recruit 10 more brands from Thailand, Hong Kong and other Asian countries. At the time, Expand VN had already partnered with more than 20 F&B brands and launched Expand TV to promote Vietnamese cuisine.

“Kitchen as a Service” puts a central kitchen at the core as shared infrastructure for multiple F&B brands, connected to a network of satellite kitchens spread across the city's districts and running 24/7. Dishes are prepped centrally and finished at the satellite point closest to the customer.
For F&B brands, the model cuts staffing, real-estate and operational risk when opening a new location — while expanding coverage, revenue and brand awareness. Customers can buy in person at a satellite kitchen or order through an app. This is the tech solution for the “restaurant” that Expand VN brought to the NEAR APAC 2023 stage.
